The beginning of a new year is often thought of as a clean slate; a time of forming resolutions that will carry us for the next twelve months. But why do we put these resolutions into place?
As defined, the term resolution refers to “a firm decision to do or not do something”. In forming resolutions, we intend to lose weight or strengthen relationships; to find a new job or finally quit smoking. But are these resolutions put into place as a means of healing from past experiences, or simply dealing with them?
Dealing acts as a form of coping, a way to stray from the actual problem at hand and focus solely on its surface. And sure, dealing works to a certain extent, but you can only deal for so long. Healing, on the other hand, has the ability to create a sound wholeness among your body, mind, and soul by allowing you to properly mend at your core.
Part of my job as a Healing Coach is taking you to that core, no matter how difficult it may be, and restoring your spiritual wholeness. And after the excess of the holiday season, I can’t think of a better time to help you begin to heal.
Throughout the next 12 months, I will be sharing my story of emotional, mental, and physical healing with you; candidly speaking on my journey to wholeness in hopes of inspiring you to do the same.
Here’s to a happy and healing in 2012,
